I usually only make two to three pints at a time when I prep. For the second wash I have just been doing it in a cup of water only and kneading it for like a minute then chugging it straight down as a treat. I figured it wasn't worth bottling it up as it would be weaker and using it as a pre-shell of sorts till the first batch cools in the refrigerator. Should I be using the same amount of water as the first wash and should I be kneading for another ten minutes?
