Does a book count as news? I am not sure, but this appeared to be the most appropriate forum to post under.
I am the author of The Honest Drug Book. for which I sampled and used 140 psychoactives. Its focus is specifically on safety, as in providing vital information and education. Blurb from rear cover:
To the point... I am copying the Kava pages below. I copy them with my thanks to this forum and its members, because I used Kava Forums intensively during the research for this particular exercise. I found it to be invaluable.
Regarding my experience of Kava itself, the report speaks for itself. It was one of my most positive experiences, and was cleaner and far superior to those induced by alcohol, for example. It is one of the handful I referenced in the final section, when asked in a Q&A about my favourite recreational experiences.
I hope that this is of interest. The book, by the way, is documented on its own website: www.HonestDrugBook.com
Thank you.

“People are dying because of ignorance. They are dying because unremitting propaganda is denying them essential safety information. They are dying because legislators and the media are censoring the science, and are ruthlessly pushing an ideological agenda instead. They are dying because the first casualty of war is truth, and the war on drugs is no different. This book is a step to counter this harrowing and destructive situation.”
