Toss n wash Fu'u?

Having receved my 1/2 pound of BKH Fu'u today, I was shocked to see how powdery the stuff was.

While attempting to knead the Kava, about 75 percent of the material appeared to dissolve into the water, only leaving the courser peices in the strainer.
The kava worked great, but I was wondering if it would be better just to toss n' wash seeing how near micronized this kava is.

hi ordering fu-u for xmas,have you tossed+washed with kava before ive personally never tried it but let me know how it goes if it works well ill try myself maybe.but ive heard it can cause really bad guts.good luck I like a tryer.

It's not typical but not unheard of. Most folks get some stomach discomfort from the larger pieces if they injest it all. These particles left behind are refered to as "macas" and are traditionally tossed out. By traditionally I mean for 3000 years of islander usage. Why mess with it?

I think I'll stick to the strainer. Even if most of the material falls out, the big particles will still need to bee squeezed to get those kavalactones out.

Don't do this yall I have been hooked on fu'u for like 3 months I made the mistake once and I regretted it immediately.....lol
