Let Kava Take The Wheel
This prep method has grown on me over the last week. A nice break from dunking and squeezing.

Agitate Kava in glass jar filled with warm water.

Pour into extra fine mesh metal strainer over drinking glass until strainer is 3/4 full.

With spoon, stir contents in strainer slowly. Stirring allows for the kava to drain into glass.

Repeat process until all kava root from this wash has been stirred and drained. This can take 2-4 times depending on amount of root used. Use just slight pressure with spoon on root to wring out remaining water. Note that excessive pressure can stretch out the mesh. Repeat process with left over root, for a second wash.

Combine 1st and 2nd wash into 1 larger cup (optional) with screw on lid to avoid spilling your hard work before you get to enjoy it. Any minute particles that get through the mesh typically settle at the bottom. Used in this example is a 3" strainer. Using a 6" strainer could simplify the process further.
