What does 'Krunked' feel like?

I think it is impossible for me to get 'Krunked'. I use Kava daily for work and it has been fantastic for me. But on my days off I have tried to overdo it per se and never reach a level where I am couch locked or couldn't drive. Empty stomach, 8-10 tablespoons of med grind and drink 4-5 shells. Tried many different varieties of Kava. Don't get me wrong.. I do feel very good but not 'drunk'. Maybe it's a good think.

Maybe my expectations are too high of what krunked really is. Can anyone explain how they feel when they are actually krunked?

If your trying to get wasted from noble kava, I think you'll be disapointed. Being krunk is more of a pleasant stony sensation than an intoxicated state like one brought on by alchohol.

However, if you haven't already, you might want to look into some tudeis if you are trying to get totally inebriated. Most of us though don't really want to get inebriated, that's why we like noble kava.

Look into the 9-year root from paradise kava, that may have been one of the strongest kava's I've ever tried. I literally had the spins, it felt like I was wasted yet clear-headed. Real good stuff. And normally (for me) krunk feels like a mixture between being ever so slightly stoned and a little drunk yet clear-headed. It's hard though to compare it to anything because it really is its own thing. I'd say don't look for a feeling, just let it come to you with what it has to offer.

Most decent kavas will get you noticeably "krunked" if the mix is strong enough and you drink enough. I tend to make a strong mix, then drink 3 large shells 5 to 10 mins apart. This makes me feel a definite euphoria and pleasant cloak of well-being, where I am happy looking at trees or whatever natural landscape is available. It comes on within a few minutes of drinking.
Keeping drinking a shell every 20 mins or so after this, and the euphoric feeling is gradually overtaken by a more anaesthetic effect where I don't feel like doing much at all - what some folk describe as couch locked maybe.
Try a (noble) Tanna kava mixed strong on an empty stomach. That should do the trick for you.

The most krunk I get is off the Fiji Loa. Moi gets me close. For me I can get a bit unsteady, blurry vision, ringing ears, an overall happy slight euphoric feeling. I tend not to do that often and I have to be in the mood for it, but most importantly I have to have the kids OUT of the house for a few hours. A ten and eight year old will kill a good kava session. They are good kids and rearly get into trouble, it's just that playful rowdy little ones need too much of your time to focus on krunkness. All that being said, be sure you have a quite place. Some prefer music, I need silence for the first two shells. Once it kicks in then I can focus inword and meditate, pray, etc. My problem is knowing at what point too much is well too much. Kava is a fickle mistress and each time can be different. I can get sick if I over do it.

Fijian kava's are fantastic, very heady I find. And I usually prefer watching a movie, usually something set in the 1700's or 1800's for some reason. But you're right, kava is a very fickle mistress!

I also advocate the Fiji Loa for Krunk. 2 Oz's of root has me stumbling into walls. This is what I call bricked. It feels like invisible bricks are being thrown at you. Or waves are pushing you. You will know when it happens. It is obvious. My last memory I was eating nachos and laughing my ass off because the bricks where pissing me off. I couldn't see the nachos to clearly and the bricks kept bricking my face.
You still have your mind but your body gets drunk.

I use 1 Oz of root per 10 Oz s water to get bricked. At least 2 Oz's and you must have an empty stomach. And slam it all down ASAP. I find if I drink lots of weak mixes I get sick.

A little Off topic but...I just wanted to ad that I really really hate the word "krunk" and "krunked".
I really feels like its a disgrace to the kava and its effects. There are some similarities with alcohol but you never end in a drunked state, it is something else.
"krunk" looks like a word imagined by non kava drinkers ! I know that it is difficult to come up with a fun and user friendly adjective with the word "kava" (I personally used the word "methystified" but its not practical at all lol)...but we should try, its a fun project !
Maybe there is already a fun word from the Pacific islands describing the kava state ?

Poivrier - I kind of know what you mean.

But, in Vanuatu, Ni-van people do use the bislama "drong" to describe full effects of kava, which comes from the English "drunk". As in, "man, mi drong bigwan yestedei - ating kava i fres wantaem".

The English speaking drinkers there say "kava'd out".

Personally I'd never heard " krunked" before joining this forum. Wonder where it originated?

Well krunked is a phrase that I tjink Lil Jon or some one started using to describe alcohol and weed or something like that ( who knows syrup could be involved as well)
But it was just like crazy drunk or something ... I think it was already floating out there from this ... I know I've used it before even knowing what kava was...
But seems like K for kava ... runk for drunk like inebriation haha.. seems pretty self evident how it got there.
