Whats your favorite, and why?

I've been wanting to try some GHK for the longest, just had to consume some olde stuff first.
Now, let the good times roll.

Ive looked at the Chemotypes, and read some reviews.
Its a little confusing being that I would think the Papa Kea would be the strongest due to Lactone amount, but see thats not the case.

So, whats your favorite Kava and why from GHK?

If you could compare it to any other Kavas from other venders, and add lots of details.
"Shakas reviews always make me wanna go lay in a hammock by the beach, haha"

Hay guys, lets get this post going, I know that there are a lot of you that have tried my kava so lets let others know what you think and the varieties that you like the most, this will help me to know what to harvest next.

Aw man, I've love all the one's I've tried. I've mostly had the Vanuatu kavas from BKH to compare, Hawaiian kavas are a different story. Instant Mo'i is glorious smiles for me, most uplifting kava I've ever had (TRY IT ). I've had the Honokane Ike micronized. It did a lot for helping me concentrate, relax, but not wind me up. I wrote several papers and got a shed load of work done while drinking it. I'm still working on the Papa kea (ground root), it sems to be similar to the Honokane Iki for me in that it's good for daytime, but the effect profile seems more complex. Most others have said it feels heavy and induces body relaxation. Chris's kavas are top notch and I honestly believe I would love anything I tried. But definitely try the Mo'i instant. It's awesome

I'm with Violet, all the Kavas have different effects for different situations. Honkane Iki, Moi, and PapaEleEle are heady. PapaKea is more Analgesic and Hiwa is too but Hiwa will put you down. Mapelehu is mildly sedating and really good when you are "pissed off at work". Makes your eyelids heavy and settles you down. Mahakea is more balanced. etc. etc. And on top of all that, there are some new ones being released shortly. Maybe Chris can come up with a super combo pack for you. I would hone in on the Instant Kava and Micronized Kava so you don't have to spend so much time making Grog and you can do some serious "sampling".

I can't speak directly for all the GHK kava's, but I had one night each with micronized Honokane 'Iki, Mapulehu & Mahakea. In the past I've had Mo'i and Mahakea from other vendors. I haven't tried the Papakea or the Hiwa, but judging from the reviews, they sound like they'd be pretty close to the stuff I like. From my experience though, the Mahakea is my favorite. Honokane 'Iki and Mapulehu were both nice, clean, light and distinctly Hawaiian but couldn't match the Mahakea, for me. The Honokane 'Iki is the lighter one and it reminds me more of Mo'i...which reminds me of Tongan white kava. While Mapulehu wasn't as strong as Mahakea, it felt closer to Mahakea, effects-wise and therefor I prefer it to the Honokane 'Iki. So even though it's not on the list... I vote Mahakea. Although, I suspect I'd also love the Hiwa.

The HonoKane Iki and Moi are similar in that they are higher Kavain Kavas and not so "sedating" Kavas. I Love them both for daytime use. If I'm not mistaken Shakas, Kavain Kavas have never been your bag. You seem to be immune to them. I totally agree with your assessment of Mapulehu and Mahakea. Mapulehu is milder but sedating where Mahakea seems to be well rounded and more potent. I will tell you one thing about the Hiwa, if you take too much, it will put you down. I gather that means you will probably like it.

Hi Endwatcher, not a problem at all. Let me know the total amount you want and I can break it up into 1/4 pound bags or what ever size bags you want. I will also have a sample pack where you can pick and choose the kava you want but that will come later on. In the mean time, let me know what you want and this goes for others too, I will make a special sample pack suited to what you want. Aloha.

When it comes to instants; I really liked the Borogu and the Mo'i - having a DHK and methysticin-heavy kava, with kavain in the middle, made for a very useful addition to the arsenal for relieving post-exercise muscle aches and wage slavery-induced neck muscle tenseness. Mo'i instant is by far the most heady kava formulation I've had yet - short-lived but oh so sweet. Great addition to another more traditionally prepared kavain-high cultivar.

I really don't notice any difference at all in different kavas myself.
It's either weak, throw it out…hmmm not bad or where's the lounge - incoming.

I voted anyway even though I've actually only ever tried the Honokane Iki but it was soo goood. I like the head effects of the kava but there was just something else that is really hard to explain that I only ever felt with that one. Like an inner warmth in the center of your being. That's why in my review of it I said something to the effect of it is like drinking a "holiday".

Really trying to sort out my Paypal issues so I can order some of the Papa Ele Ele. Keep going to GHK's site, loading up my cart then I'm redirected to Paypal and I'm like ....

Got my Golden Care package Wed.
So far, Ive tried a couple so far, and LOVE the taste and effects!
I will do some more detailed reviews later.
Telling you guys, really needed this, I am positive that Kava "Good Kava like this" is the only way I could keep working for this company.
Right now they are relocating, and Im managing 4 buildings material "Flat steel, tubing..etc..etc"
Soon, I wont be around...just gotta be here for a little longer.

To give you guys a taste of what its like.
The owner "employs" 3 brothers from Guatemala, one cut his thumb off. it been about 3 months and HR still hasnt contacted him.
One runs a laser 12 hours, 6 days a week.
The 3rd works 16 hours "Yes...16"

His feet and legs were hurting and he told the owner this, and the owner suggested he could find someone to replace him.
Then told him to drive to his place and take out his trash!
Im trying to find a good AWA to share with them...they need it.

So here I am trying to find something nice and relaxing for all of us to recharge and talk about what these guys need to do.

It's hard to pick favorites. On Sunday afternoon, I love Papa Kea for its analgesic effects. During the day, its HonoKane Iki or Moi for its Euphoric effects. But the last few days, it has been the Hiwa. I have had massive dreams with the Hiwa to the point where I find myself going to be bed early in anticipation of the dreams. It's like Chris says on his Website, he has a Kava for every occasion.

I really like the soft eyes that Papa Kea, and HIWA gives me.
I very nice gentle, euphoria that makes you want to invest in a hammock.
