WOW! vs. black bag

Just out of curiosity, which is better? I have yet to try wow, I have tried black bag though. I ask because right now WOW! Is being sold for slightly cheaper than black bag

I prefer the Nambawan, hands down. WOW! was the first reportedly "intoxicating" kava I tried, and while I do enjoy it somewhat, I found both the original circulation of Black Bag and the currently-named Nambawan to be more enjoyable. I'm not positive about the kavalactone profile of WOW!, but I wasn't a fan of the sedation. Sedating kavas tend to put me in a really irritable mood, so perhaps that's an indication of it being pleasant for you, assuming you're sedation/DHM kind of person.

thanks for the advice ozzy, I may end up getting a pound of chiefs jungle instead as I've heard good things about it and it's only like 36 a pound right now

Just a heads up on the chief's, if your not a fan of sedation than you might not like it. Chief's is a Papua New Guinee strain that seems to have quite a bit of DHM. Some think the deeply pungent pine taste and smell is too much, personally thats my favorite part. It is the most suberbly spongy kava I have ever seen and is the absolute best for hand squeezing ever. The smell is very green like a cross between fresh lawn clippings and green pine cones, the flavor is a deep and sharp pine and can be pretty overwhelming. If it's that cheap I may have to order some up...

Holy crap N@H has dropped prices like at least 10$ on stone and chiefs, the last bag of stone I got was 50$ and the last chiefs was 52$.
Even wow is way cheaper. It looks like N@H finally got their shit together with their pricing and realized that there were alot of new vendors
selling just of good quality root at substantially cheaper prices. N@H was my go to kava place when I first came around and since then have
drifted back and forth between KBR and BKH. Good to see that competition is bringing down the prices, gonna have to start ordering more
from them now. Their still keeping the crazy prices on shaman though much to my dismay....

I just ordered up my first bag of WOW along with 1/4 kg of stone and chiefs. The prices seem awesome and I'll likely get a kg of either stone or chiefs as they claim these are only holiday prices and after that it's back to expensive.

Where did you see it was holiday pricing? I was hoping they just love their customers. Anyways if it is holiday pricing I guess it's time to order the ole kava truckload. But seriously, where'd you see that?

It was under news yesterday, I know I saw it. I just looked and couldn't find it anywhere. Mabye they saw my post and removed or something like that. I know I saw there yesterday. Hopefully these prices stay put. I love stone and 41$ for a 1/2 kg is a great price when it includes shipping.

You too, huh?  Yeah, I've picked fights with Elizabeth II when I'm overly sedated and she wants me to spring into action.  I am a fan of sedation, but I need to be aware of my weaknesses.  Sedation + Royal Pain = "With Kava it is possible to hate"

I've noticed the irratibility with high DHMs as well. It usually puts me in a mellow grooving state and being disturbed annoys the shit out of me. Anything like my phone going off or any type of disturbance really sets me off. Basically anything that requires attention and most especially effort becomes entirely unacceptable. I went to go get groceries sunday pretty krunked out on boroguro and tudei and almost lost my shit with all the slow moving knobs with a bijjilion misbehaved kids. High DHM kavas are definately a home alone with no plans kava.

Is the stone from n@h just like the boroguru? I thought I saw on their site that it is basically a borogu/ boroguru mix. So is it pretty close to bulas? Trying to decide if I should get stone while it's really cheap or get the Fijian from paradise

I'd say it's a far more diesel variation of boroguro. Stone is by far the strongest and most debilitating kava I've come across. Basically it's a pure lateral root boroguro and is really friggin bomb. I was buying boroguro just to save money as it used to 50$, but now that of stone 1/2 kg with shipping is 41$ and a 1/2kg shipped of boroguro is 35$, I'll be buying stone. Stone is basically the best kava I've come across, real DHM soaked and always consistant. These new prices are awesome as stone and chief's are my favorite high DHM strains and N@H has the best grinds I've seen to date. I'll still buy bula as well, I love their fu'u and instant green.

When you say debilitating, what do you mean exactly? Head effects? Loss of coordination? Excuse me for asking so many questions, I just ordered a pound and I always like to have a general idea of what it will be like, thanks!

For stone? All of the above. I've found myself unable to focus my eyes it's so strong. The batches can vary slightly, but it's consistently kickass kava. About 4 or 5 years ago you would get a batch every now and then that would make you question if this was only kava. You could tell when you were kneading it if you all of a sudden discover it felt more as if you were kneading play-doh instead of kava. It would pin you to the floor. The consistency as new2kava has noted is fantastic. It's perfect for traditionally made kava. It's what I consider a "utility" kava. Pure power.

I can safely say that stone is the strongest kava I have had. I used 6 tablespoons to 3 cups water. I think I might do a half cup tonight

danm i just ordered boroguro. and now im thinking i should have tried stone as i always prepare traditionally. (rebrew i blend then knead). i am in search for the hardest hitting most sedating kava as im sure many are. i love mj but i swear kava is a really close second. do i dare say i like kava more.... so sorry my love ;) really crunked off chiefs right now. Danm i love this grind though. Very anxious to check out the boroguro in the mail.
