This is bizarre - they might just as well test employees for doughnut consumption.
I did once have an indian Fijian draftsman on my team at work that use to drink kava all night and come to work to sleep at his desk. But he would also have been tired if he just stayed up all night and drank milk shakes, so one couldn't lay all the blame on kava.
