I tend to trust native preparations of any plant. Not to say its 100% the right way, but these preparations have come out as a result of lots of trial and error. Just thinking of how kneading the root was discovered shows there was some effort put into getting the best batch

I prefer cold water, Idk if it makes a difference but it just feels better :p. Also, I add ice usually so makes sense to make it with cold water

You took it with yogurt? Was it like a micronized or concentrate? There are things that can make the tast milder. Try putting it on ice, or adding a little cream. Also i find a little turmeric is nice to settle the stomach and cut the taste

Thats a good point, that somebody not knowing about RT could still experience it. The only thing is it could be more of a subconscious thing.. maybe you dont need a preconceived mindset. Just saying that because a lot of things kava has fixed for me has been on a subconscious level
