Kava Session Entertainment

Whenever I have a kava session I'm always looking to find something that's intriguing but not overly annoying as to stop feeling kava's effects. I figured a thread outlining some of our favorite activities while kava'ing might be a good idea.

I just finished "Chef's Table" episode 1 on Netflix tonight, and it was a relaxing, thought provoking documentary about a chef in Italy that creates some really stunning dishes. Highly recommended, especially if you're trying to relax during a session.

Anyone else?

I to have watched a few shows while taking kava, I dnt realy like doing it but...
I perfer to sit quietly, and either read " I have 2 books on kava" or a documentary type film....
The more action packed the show is the more it takes away from the kava...thats why I like the nice calm slow narrating of documentarys the best lol :)

I would be overjoyed to make that my new profile pic, if they could resize it just a smidge too to fit him in there better. I am a bit slow when it comes to this kind of thing.

Watching Trailer Park Boys

Cooking Dinner (simple meals)
I play the ukulele and guitar, and play nearly every time I have some Kava. So relaxing and nice.

I'm stoked to watch the next episode for tonight. I just got KWK's new Fiji Loa Waka, so I'll be enjoying a new strain while relaxing on the couch. Wooohooo!

I too enjoy trailer park boys. I need to get netflix like i used to have. I havent tried fishing after a few shells yet but i do fish often and its coming into season here on eastcoast. Kava activities include anything that i usually do when unwinding at the end of the day. Cleaning up the house, playing w dog etc. On weekends with more shells i do enjoy a comedy movie while sitting in bed and lately after a few shells i love playing roulette or poker on the big fish casino app on the old ipad.

Accoustic guitar music works well for me. At least as long as it isn't too fancy. I pick at my guitar from time to time too... or write whole songs depending on cultivar:happy:. Hawaiians are best for song writing but I try to avoid them. As much as I love them, they tend to keep me awake until the sun comes up. Thanks Chris, your products are a little too good.::amirite:: Reading and writing are good activities as well. Soon I will run a Dungeons and Dragons game propperly rooted and test the "story time" effects of my Kava.

I could see kava and fishing being quite enjoyable. The sun, the breeze, the bobbing of the boat. Can't wait to get the boat out this year.

Im not lucky enough to have a boat but when I fish I set up a foldout chair on the shore of my local lake then I place a medium sized rock underneath one of the legs of my chair to imitate the swaying and rocking of a boat.

Julian!!! It's you!!!

I *LOVE* the Trailer Park Boys. I watched almost all of them whilst krunk, over
the course of many weeks. Extremely enjoyable. One of the funniest things was when the boys got into
a bad car accident, the car rolled over and over, and Julian got out, with his ever-present drink in his hand, and hadn't
spilled a drop. Or during the theme music when a cat came into the camera view, and they pixelated its
face to protect its identity. Their subtle humor is wonderful.

That said, my favorite thing to do when kav-ing is to put on some headphones, listen to some great music while sitting
outside on a beautiful evening/night, and just float with the cosmos.

For some reason, I very much prefer to be alone while krunking. Having to socialize is just too much work!

Watch a comedy or listen to music. Sometimes I even find that music is a bit much stimulation. I've watched Brokeback Mountain so many times on kava (and in general). I know it's supposed to be sad or something, but up until the end, and minus the Thanksgiving scene, I just find it preposterously relaxing. I think it's the combination of the score and the scenery. I've been desperately trying to find those videos they used to make in the 80's, that were just dolphins and whales swimming, with music, but for the LIFE of me, I can not find one online. I imagine those would be really amazing, too. Well, if you're into that sort of thing.

You need to move to the middle of nowhere Wyoming. You'd love it.
