Yeah by steeping I mean soaking. Sorry I should have been more clearDo you mean steeping or soaking?
Now that I looked back I ment to say soaking. I understand if you steep it like tea it will just make it taste bad.Steeping, as in cooking the kava in hot water overnight? Hmm. My instinct tells me that this might just make it taste really bad without making it any stronger than a standard hot water prep.
The kava might also sour more quickly, depending on the temperature of the water. Whatever process (enzymatic, bacterial, I don't know) makes old kava go sour, it might happen faster in warm water.
I do sometimes throw an fresh Aluball in the fridge overnight just to make the first morning shell simpler. Doesn't make it any stronger. Just convenient to have readymade.

You just soaked it in the same amount of prep water as you usually use?For What It's Worth I've tried putting some of the new stuff I have in a rubermaid style jar in the refridgerator over night. Much smoother than from the blender. A little more kick as well.
About yeah. I eyeballed it in blender that's about the same height. then poored it into the seelable jar ^_^You just soaked it in the same amount of prep water as you usually use?
