i was reading some reviews on the GHK Hanakapi'ai and that is sounding pretty good, most people seem to give it a high anti anxiety rating, sounds like its great for relaxing muscles which would be awesome, i have a bad back and its been hurting pretty bad for a while now, got some knotted up muscles that just wont seem to give. ill check out some reviews on the other ones you mentioned

so i made my second wash, this shell is probably about half as strong but i think its doing the trick. i feel more relaxed after i have finished the 1st shell and about 3/4 of the second wash shell.
Might want to consider a more sedative kava, those are awesome for body aches. Luna Sol Blend is a good example.

not seeing many reviews on the luna sol the few i did see i think only one of them said it was nice and sedative which i think was yours lol.. i think the other 2 people that tried it did not feel the same way.. i know they say each type will be different for different people..

ill do some reading on the papa kea too.. thanks..

Hanakapi' ai has pretty consistent reviews saying it is heavy and sedating. so i am thinking of giving that one a try from what i have read so far.

The lao walka is the only kava i have tried so i cant comment on what i personally like so far, i like this kava but i think i would prefer something with different effects. After the second wash i had tonight i feel a bit more relaxed than when only drinking one shell.. I think a second was means using the same kava a second time, that is what i did it definitely made a difference in the relaxation department. Still not a huge amount of relaxation but it is doing more than just taking the edge off.

Yeah it's a potent kava, the one I am drinking tonight (imo) is even stronger and better, but I am a big fan of Fijian kavas, 90% of the kavas I drink are from that region. That's the one I mentioned you should PM Squanch about, it's a heavy hitter, he doesn't sell it on his website. He'll probably get mad I mentioned it, but if we are going to talk about "knock your ass down" kavas, that one is my favorite. I have a hard time walking straight after this kava, for a solid hour.
You will not find a review for it, it's not listed. The GHK is excellent as well, that particular strain was not for me but as you mentioned yourself, it will affect everyone differently. I love everything else I bought from GHK. (which was everything)
The important thing is to have fun, there are so many choices...

@KrunkyMonkey mostly drinks Fijian Kavas but for another point of view I rarely drink Fijian. I didn't find the Loa Waka that relaxing at all, more edgy/antsy and I'm sure it gave me a bit of depression after. I have tried a few other Fijian kavas and they all tend to do the same thing. A few others from Fiji didn't agree with me either except for one strain I tried called Koro Island which our European supplier used to stock but no longer carries. Bizarrely that was one of my favourite kavas ever. As said above there are a huge amount of different kavas out there and to a degree you will need to do a bit of trial and error with it yourself to find the right ones for you.

I also like Vanuato, for the heavier ones.

thanks everyone, i really appreciate all the helpful responses..

i am not sure i want to feel completely out of it so something overly strong may not be the way to go, not sure. i just want good relaxations, loose muscles and stress relief.. ill keep reading up on the stuff mentioned here.

Final thoughts, you can always buy both types and blend them until you find the ratio that suits your needs.
