+1BKH Please do an extract of that 11 year waka!!! I love that stuff but cant choke down micronized anymore![]()
I do not know what you mean by "bait and switch" I know that is not the case with me. I also know that I never said that CO2 kava extract was "NOT" safe. I did include some information form kava scientists and will let the people decide if they want to try any CO2 extract, the information I provided did not say that the kava extract was safe or not, it just gave us some information to help us make a educated choice. To summarize the evidence: CO2 extracts are safe. Period.
I feel like there's a little bit of "bait and switch" going on here. We were meant to be discussing the safety of these extracts, but it was actually an assertion about how Kava is traditionally prepared and served and that a particular vendor isn't going to be selling these extracts as a result. Not sure how or why the safety of extracts came into it.
I am sorry you think that but you have it all wrong. Try reading the post I made again. I never said I have higher standards than other vendors, again your reading things into this that just are not there. I explained that I want to stay on the more traditional side of things, and I explained that CO2 extract has been around for less than 100 years and kava made with the powder or fresh root has been around for thousands of years with safe use. I never said that there were cases of CO2 kava extract being unsafe, I did post information from Kava scientists and what they thought of CO2 kava extract so that people could see more clearly why I made my decision to not sell the CO2 extract. There is no sneaky kind of marketing going on here, I never put down any vendor or said I was better than them and I never said that the CO2 kava extract was bad. So please stop doing what you are doing and stop putting words in my mouth.Well, I mean that the thread superficially looked like it was about the safety of CO2 extracts, but was actually you explaining why you are not selling extracts because you have "higher standards" than other vendors. "Bait and switch" is when you lure someone in with one topic and then make a pitch.
http://www.kavaforums.com/forum/threads/do-i-have-to-give-up-kava.9667/page-2#post-114622...Please show me where I said that I was better than other vendors and how I am baiting and switching.
Thank you so much for your post, I could not have said it better. @Kavasseur and @HeadHodge , see this guys post. This is exactly what I was doing, not what you guys think I am doing.I just took Chris's original post to explain why he decided to not make anymore extracts.....not that there was anything wrong with them......or "bait and switch".
My thoughts are that he saw all the demand out here for an extract....made a batch, and then after thinking about it decided to stay with just producing and selling the traditional root powder. Nothing more, nothing less. No worries.
I made my post and explained everything clearly. I even stated that I was not saying that it was unsafe, how much clearer can I get. If you look at all the people that are standing in line for BKH's extract I would say that my post did not make others think that CO2 kava extract was unsafe, my post was very clear and concise. Nothing more needs to be said, there is no conspiracy or bait and switch, drink some kava and calm down. There is nothing wrong here. As I said my post was clear, there is no assumptions in there, assumptions are bad for the most part because there is no backing to assumptions. Remember how to spell assume or ass u me. This is why I never assume.I was just making an observation, Chris. I'm just concerned that people will view this thread and assume that you stopped selling extract because you felt it was unsafe, even though you are cancelling it for other reasons. This could affect other vendors who sell extract.
I am sorry @HeadHodge but your wrong. You claim in that post I tell about how I claim I am better than other vendors but I don't say that at all. I simply tell about how I make my micronized kava differently than others.
Pretty hard. Here is a paper that describes a method. The equipment described sounds pretty expensive.Sorry, I gotta ask, how hard would it be to distill individual kavalactones from the extract?
Agreed, the title of the thread is misleading.Well, I mean that the thread superficially looked like it was about the safety of CO2 extracts, but was actually you explaining why you are not selling extracts because you have "higher standards" than other vendors. "Bait and switch" is when you lure someone in with one topic and then make a pitch.
I think more awesome would be selective breeding to create noble kavas with tudei chemotypes so tudei lovers could have a healthier option. Not sure if this is even possible at this tine.It would be cool to be able to order custom extract with just pure kavalactones, and in the proportions you want...
