Kava Curious
Wetness in a product That is supposed to be dry is a sign of bad quality.Have you weighed yours? Mines supposed to be 1KG but its only 900g. Also, very wet so in reality it might be only what...800g ? Not cool.

I'm curious what that looks like. If possible, could you please take a photo? It is not dripping wet or anything but still the wettest kava i have ever had.
What country is the supplier based in?Well, the supplier (whose name is on the bulk packaging recieved) wrote 1kg on it, while it is only 2 pounds. Seems like it was packaged in a rush, without allowing for proper drying. In my opinion, the wholesaler needs to solve this with kavaha, but kavaha could also have checked before sending out the kava as is. Now i'm worrying it might turn moldy. It is not dripping wet or anything but still the wettest kava i have ever had.

I get bags from certain suppliers that don't quite hold a kilo. I've always just thought they weigh it "island style" rather than being a malicious attempt to make more money. From that supplier I always repackage it into 500g so I know what I am selling is the correct weight.Well, the supplier (whose name is on the bulk packaging recieved) wrote 1kg on it, while it is only 2 pounds. It is not really visible, just slightly wet to the touch. After letting it evaporate, the kava looks brighter, more beige.I'm curious what that looks like. If possible, could you please take a photo?
No, it's not cool but not the level of upset that i would do much about that. I also do not know how active they are i @ them here but there also was no answer. It's like whatever. Will see if the quality will make up for it.Have you complained to kavaha regarding your batch of kava?
Problem is, kavaha can't apply wholesale logic selling to retail customers. At least they should check and repack like you said. I also do not necessarly think there is malice ("2 pounds is like one kg right?") but then kavaha should declare it as 2 pounds not 1kg.I get bags from certain suppliers that don't quite hold a kilo. Good explanation. The Kava itself is alright, not super great, not bad. A nice sustained effect that has some depth too it, but not as good as the kavasociety palarasul which was magica. It could be, that in Europe people mix up a pound with 500gr. In my country a pound is 500gr - regarding the word itself in my language. But of course this shouldn't happen doing business.
Great, then it seems like an honest mistake.I've got my pre-ordered kava : from the 2kg palarasul I've got two bags weighting, including the (light) packaging, 1017 and 1015 g. It seems that each bag contains indeed 1 kg kava. In addition there is a gift of 100g deep calm kava. To summarize: I'm a satisfied customer. The only drawback is the uncertainty about the delivery date. But this is part of the game when pre-ordering.
