I like Mo'i
Aloha all... I wanted to make a heartfelt plea here for a second.
Anxiety sucks. Millions of Americans have it. For many, it leaves them completely dysfunctional. Many require medication to treat it, but existing medications for anxiety are some of the most toxic substances on the planet. Benzodiazepenes are extremely addictive. They can lead to pretty bad withdrawal symptoms, and in the long term can even promote anxiety. SSRI's don't fare much better.
I am one of these people, and Mo'i has completely changed my life.
I bring this up to make an important point: there is nothing in the mainstream pharmaceutical world like Kava. First-line anxiety treatments absolutely suck. If Kava were something that pharmaceutical companies could patent, I'm sure they'd be fighting tooth and nail for it. Instead, we have benzodiazepenes. Great...
I single Mo'i out because after a few false starts with Kava, it turned out to be the missing piece. It's completely "clean," it doesn't knock you out, it doesn't inebriate you, and it leaves you able to get through the day - while dramatically relieving anxiety. I don't know of any other cultivar with those properties. Compared to the status quo, I believe that Mo'i has the power to transform people's lives.
This brings me to my plea: please consider making a form of Mo'i that is portable and easy to consume. The Mo'i extract you used to carry would be completely ideal for this purpose.
I understand that powdered root is closer to how Kava is traditionally consumed, but for people who need an as-needed anxiolytic on the go, there are serious drawbacks to this - it's not exactly easy to travel with, carry around, and take as needed. There's currently a market for this - Ozia candies, Gaia Herbs caps, etc, but none of them come even close to what you have with Mo'i. Not even close.
Finally, as a business owner, I understand that it's not my place to tell anyone else what product to make. Chris, you do us all a huge service with GHK and the world is a better place for it. I simply present this as a suggestion. We focus heavily on the recreational properties of Kava here, but its medicinal properties cannot be understated. I really think this plant has the potential to help lots of people in this country. It's telling that we have a coffee pot in every house and office - we're a society of chronically overworked, anxious, stressed out, overstimulated people. And I think that for many, this might be the answer - a portable form of Kava, with an easy mechanism of delivery, which is actually high-quality Mo'i.
Just a thought...
