I was skeptical about the Aluball at first. But dang! It really cleans that kava root!

I've been using 1 tablespoon of kava to 400ml of water. Shake for about 1.5 minutes. Then, I swing the thing in a circle to let centrifugal force bleed the ball dry. I'll add 200ml of water and see if I can get any more out of the root. Usually, it's not much.

You swing the thing in a circle to let the centrifugal force bleed the ball dry?
...
On one hand, I think I understand what you mean.
On the other, much bigger hand, I just had some borogu.
I want someone to make an 80's instructional work out type video of this.
Mullets, leggings and shoulder pads.

I got my Aluball a few weeks ago.... have been loving it for sure... went to make a batch this AM and noticed the bottom of the cup was cracked..... emailed Kavafied and got a response within the hour (on a Saturday AM) replacement being sent ..... really great customer service from them! Their Kava is really good as well!

A note about the aluball and milk... it makes things really frothy and foamy. I mix my next shell in advance to give it a chance to settle back to milk and then it pours out fine. Leaving it in the fridge keeps it nice and cold for drinking too.

Tonight I had 2 tbsps. boronguru with 1 cup milk. I didn't feel loads but then I haven't had kava for nearly 2 weeks. I had another 2 tbsps. and that gave me more effect but overall I think I'm still in build mode tonight. I've got 1.5 tbsps. nene already shaken up, just waiting for some food to go down a bit more and that's sending me to bed :)

I don't know why I never got into that kind of music .. I tried a few times as a meditation aid ect. But silence itself has always been a more powerful teacher than any form, regardless of how harmoniously beautiful it is. Listening to the silence underneath each sound brings out its true beauty :)

@Kavafied A friend and kava customer of mine is in a band called Galactic Hatchet. I turned him on to kava and your Aluball. He's the guy who took the light saber and Aluball pic. Anyway, his band did a three set show on New Years Eve and one of the sets he dedicated to and called the set Kavafied. I thought you might dig hearing about that.

Very cool, hope they didn't fall off the stage from all the Kava drinking lol

I need to try meditation. I just really dig drone and repetitive music, wait for it music, the build and build then the epic explosion. I guess Radiohead got me started down that path. Lately I am into heavy and slow mostly as long as they don't sing like Cookie Monster, then it won't harsh the kruzz when I am visiting Numbville.

They remind me of groups like Acid King and Kyuss. Old "stoner rock" groups. Some groups would detune their guitars to get the sound even lower.
Exactly. Long live Desert Rock! How low and slow can you go. If you dig those kind of bands go check out the Kava Metal Soundtrack thread. Lots of links to bands in that genre on there.

I cracked the base of one of my aluball shakers :-( . I think they need to be stronger. I know other people have had this problem, what are you using instead?

I don't have an aluball yet, but I read other people who said the same thing as you. I was thinking of ordering the ball and just using a one-quart mason jar to shake in...
