My blender get's too dirty with kava, and the dirt kinda sticks to the knifes. I have therefore stopped using it, and I find no difference in strength with just kneading the kava directly from the bag.
I've always used a blender for root powder and found it to work fine. You can also add things to the mix more easily such as ginger root to help with nausea or other flavourings.
I switched to a sort of traditional/CTAHR prep. Three 3 minutes blender sessions and then 5 minutes traditional prep after. Probably overkill but getting consistent results.
I wouldn't blend Micronized but I always blend Kava Powder I read a study that says that blending and using water at 113-120 degrees would bring out the most Kavalactones. Well yeah, I read it on the internet. Why do you ask?

If you are blending instant and are happy, then by all means blend your micronized. It's not necessary but it may give you a more "sippable" drink. I think you have your prep down pat so don't change it if you are happy.
