Kava @ Home vs. Kava Bars

I notice the difference in the effects of kava I buy and drink at the local kava bars (Florida) and the kava I make at home. I drink kava regularly at the kava bars. I have purchased good quality kava to make at home, and went through the entire process (temp, kneading, etc.) of making the kava.

There IS a difference. Why?! What are the kava bars doing? I have even been told by kava tenders that there are, in fact, tricks they use to make it more intense.

It could be they are using instant or maybe mixing up medium grind and adding instant/micro or a concentrate to beef it up.

The other possibility is that they are selling kava mixed with some tudei or even wild kava which will definitely alter the effects!

My home kava has always been better than the bars. I've always find the bars watered down or tudei contaminated. Nothing worse than watered down kava

If you ask them about adding Tudei, will they admit to it?
The local bar here adds instant to most of their beverages, I believe.
