Other kava bar owners - help with point of sale system

K

I own a Kava Bar in Des Moines Iowa and we were using Square as our point-of-sale service. Apparently selling Kava violates their terms and conditions and they deactivated our account so we are now at longer able to take credit card payments. We are looking for the best option for point-of-sale but it seems like for whatever reason Kava is a banned substance for a lot of point of sale services. Does anyone own a kava bar and have success with any particular point of sale company?

I highly suggest contacting Jeff Bowman of Nakamal @ Home. He has fought the same battle.

FYI, I just happened to land on your bar's page on yelp yesterday and was remarking about how amazing it looks. Your ice cream on instagram looks so good I could just reach in and grab it.

Is there a reason stated for kava being "a banned substance for a lot of point of sale services"?
Can you share any details of the rationale for Square saying kava violates their terms and conditions?
I am trying to reach out and find a permanent solution to some of these problems vendors and/or kava bar owners
keep being confronted with. Thank you.

Probably here, based on the text but it would be a reach.

My money is on them not understanding the difference between kava and the other 'K' herb so intertwined with it.
