Something like Fuu or Puni Oni?

Fuu (BHK) provide a nice pep and a mix well with a black tea. The kind of pep I meen is a kind of inspired, a bit of energy and sort of a (for me) nice sense I can do what ever duties and tasks that need done. When I go to my club meetings a bit (or lot more) engaged and genuinely curius about topics and jokes at them (for example)
I've also had Tongan Pride. At the time it had a similar(ish) kind of kick, and was oddly nice to mix with Nambwan(Appologies if that's mis-spelled)
Quite nice to set pleasant tone to a day.

Just wondering what's similar to these.
I applogies if this is the wrong part of the forum for opinions on kava's to try.

The Fiji Loa Waka from Kalm With Kava seemed to compare with the Pouni. I also like GHK's Moi and Honokane Iki. (Can't go wrong with any GHK selections)
I find that I seem to prefer a strong Fijian or Hawaiin kava.

The most 'inspired' I've ever felt was after 3 tbsp of Moi micronized mixed with 2 tbsp Hanakapi Ai. It was beautiful. I think I made a thread about it on here somewhere.

Kava Time's Taveuni's Secret will give you a nice heady up focused feeling and the caffeine in the black tea definitely helps. I really like playing guitar after
a few shells of that. Kava Kauai/Real Kava.com's 5 star will in low doses (1 tablespoon) blend and gulp give you that but too much more and you're krunked.

You can try a waka or Lawena. KWK, Squanch & Cactus kava all have wonderful examples.

I was going to mention realkava.com vanuatu waka, a lovely kava.

Apreciate the suggestions! And apologies for the delay in getting back! Had a wonderfull festive pattis day meetup as part of a club I'm in had a bit of the last dregs of some Pouni Ono wich leading to a very pleasant festive (week) for those of us that do Patty's Week. One reason I asked about other Kava's is it seems like KWK might be having (a good) problem keeping up with Kava Interest. So before getting a bit of their instant thought I could look at a oprotunity to find something similarly...insipirint and just fun. Something almost magical about the few Tungans I've had the pleasure of trying so far being fun, add (help) setting a very nice tone to mornings.

@Edward The Waka from realkava is described as a bit relaxing yet a fun and happy experience, did you find it left you sleepy?

Eventually but not straight away. I wouldn't really describe it as sedative but more that you get a good sleep after. You can stay awake on it.

@Myk That 5 star from real kava and the Loa Waka from KWK intregue me. I admit the description of it being inspiriing, fun and energizing at small amounts yet somehow more relaxing at larger amounts intregues and perplexes me. Did you find it a pleasent kind of pep? Ie more of a nice YAR vibe? Or I suppose I might as well just ask was it more of a Thar be dragons I can see through space and time why did I do this kind of energy? For example on work out days I know if I've had to strong of a pre-gym smoothy feeling more tense then pleasently YAR.
And thanks again all for some what look like wonderful alterntatives! And holly crap I need a spell checker for this browser.

On the 5 Star the prep is important . I don't strain or knead kava from Real Kava. Their grind is so fine that you don't need to. Of course if you are sensitive to fiber in the stomach you should probably strain. Any other method you are getting at best about 50% of the kavalactone content and throwing away the rest. (I am excluding instant and micro here just talking regular kava root powder). I'm not familiar with "YAR" but I would describe it as mental energy. I am not jittery at all, it feels more like that kind of buzzing vibration you get after yoga and you start messing around with some creative endeavor and look at the clock and , "oops it's 4:30 am." The low dose strategy is not just for 5 Star but will work on just about everything. I would encourage everyone to try at least a few times to find the lowest dose you can actually feel. Kava has many effects but if you go for the power all the time and mega-dosing you won't feel anything but sedative properties.

Ah. When I say feeling...."Yar" It's that feeling that (for me anyway) comes before the feeling if "Geeking out"(if you've had that).
As if you feel enthusiastic and excited yet calm.
And it's at least what I shout in my house when it hits.
Like nice cup of black tea (with honey) or a really good green tea on a summer morning when a breeze picks up. Not hyper thought.
Hope that help clear up what I meant. ^_^

Cactus Kava Loa Lawena or Squanch Lawena. Others have suggested GHK Moi, but I think it is WAAAY more heady than the Pouni Ono. Moi is in it's own category in terms of heady.

Hmm I shall give that a try.
I found Poni Ouni had a nice kind of energy. For me it was a kind of a laughing joking, yet curius about things kind of energy. While also being clear headed enough to do stuff be that basics (groceries) or more intense things (help make a website for a NGO).
At least for me that set a very nice adventurous vibe(?) leading to nice way get my days going without feeling as if I had to much coffee.
In your experience is Lawena similar to that?
Thanks again for opinions as to what I might enjoy for a next morning kava.

That's what I liked about it too. Both Cactus Kava Lawena and Squanchs Lawena will give you similar effects. Cactus is probably the weakest of the bunch, but I think it tastes the best. I just mix it a little thicker and after a few shells, I'm a happy camper.

@KrunkMunster got some Cactus Lawena. Tried a bit this morning it hit the spot! A nice feelgood thing. I think I see what you meen that it's simillar to Poni Ouni! It's just fun in a uplifting inspiring way without jitters so far. I only got up to 4teaspons in about 6-7 ounces of water to see how much kick I like from it.

I think my punmanship improved a little, given my hand writing resembles a barcode these days. (bwahahaha)

It might mix well with a bit of Papa Kea or Maha Kea(however those are spelled) Only had those once, Papa kea has a nice ache reliefe and just a fun one.
