switching cultivars likely produces better experiences/sessions?

A few days ago I re-watched an old documentary on kava that features a mini interview with an elderly ni-Vanuatu grower who talked about a few different varieties they had in their garden. He noted that they like to switch between cultivars after a few nights when they get "bored". I know from personal experience that switching between cultivars seems to produce superior effects, sort of "refreshes the spark". than It's a purely subjective opinion, impossible to really validate it through any research, but something I've been fairly confident to be true. Does anyone else have any views on it? What's your experience?

In my experience it is correct that to change cultivars brings a refreshed state. While 'awa (in my view) could never be "boring" and that's not what I am trying to describe.
It is more like the excitement of seeing an old friend after a long time and catching up on their life. Lately I've gone back to my old habit of cranking my Corona Mill and making fresh regularly. As in Old Hawai'i, it can be an 'Awa Papa Kea night or an 'Awa Nene night! But never an 'Awa night.
