KBR Fiji waka and BKH Fu'u is another awesome mix, I was surprised how frothy the result was though, and it tasted awesome. The effects are more like fiji waka than the Fu'u, mostly sedating in nature and digging deep in the muscles, but the cerebral giddy effects I get from the fu'u are definitely present as well. Not as great a combo as last night's Boroguru + fiji waka but still a great soothing combo.

Check out how bubbly/frothy this stuff got (smiley: smokin)

BKH Melo Melo 65 g with 3 g lecithin and 1 tsp of Amylase and 700 ml plain old warm water. Melo Melo is one of the more wretched-tasting strains IMO, the second shell almost made me gag, but it is a "noble" strain with good effects, still somewhat crunked even after dinner.

I've never had the Melo Melo because I heard it was bitter. I try to stay away from bitter kavas. How were the effects though?

I'm trying a new combo tonight, KBR Fiji waka and BKH Borogu. Excited to see how it turns out, the borogu is nice but too stimulating, and I only drink kava at night to relax so I haven't used much. The Fiji waka knocks me flat on my ass at night though, so I'm curious as to the effect of this mixture. The last time I mixed a stimulating kava with a more sedating kava was Tongan pride (kbr) and stone (n@h) and that just made me lethargic. lol. Hopefully, this will be a more pleasant combo. I'll be back in a bit to edit in my experience.

Right now I'm using the last of my Van3 as I wait on some chiefs and stone as well instant green kava. I was hoping to have enough Van3 to make some interesting combinations but the post office hasn't been too accomadating on that front. Chiefs and stone should be here today and possibly the instant green but the tracking number doesn't work so I can't pathalogically check locations, but BKH has always been fast and worthwhile. I also have 20 grams of fire island that ordered with my N@H before I found that judd had the instant green in stock. I've never tried instant and am curious if I'll like it and if it's good enough to justify it's price. I usually soak 1/2 cup of root in a 17 oz can of coconut water and blend for about five minutes and knead as well as squeeze, I checked a local organic healthfood store for soy lectin but they didn't have any so I'll have to order online as N@H doesn't sell it anymore. I'm exited to see if this chiefs is a good batch as the batch I got last summer did not live up to it's hype and stone is usually a good bet.

I pretty much laid myself out earlier with 1/2 cup of stone blended and kneaded with 1 and 1/3 cups water fortified with a tablespoon of instant green kava. That was also the most rugged tasting couple of shells ever pretty much.

Jesus, that would kill me.  I think the most Stone I ever drank was 3tbs and it was a good 2hrs before the world stopped tilting under me.

Earlier today I brewed a mix of Wow! (.5tbs) and Fu'u (2.5tbs) in anticipation of some prolonged socializing this evening.

I've usually been doing a half cup of Stone to 2-3 cups of water. Tonight I'm going a half cup stone plus a fourth cup Fu'u... should be interesting.

I just brewed up about 1/3 cup of chiefs and 1/4 cup of stone. The stone seeems more dense than the chiefs so I estimate they were actaully equal masses and a total of around 50-60 grams. I had a tbs of instant green when I woke up and let this sit for a while before blending a kneading it. The pine flavor of the chiefs overwhelms the stone and tones down the ruggedness of each strain, so far the effect is pretty good.

I got about 1/3 cup of chiefs soaking in soy lectin and 10 ounces of warm water for the past hour, that should be pretty good. I had instant green upon waking so I already feel good. I decided to retry soy lechtin now that I have gotten really good at making kava and am goint to see what kind of difference it makes. I got a lb of soy lectin at gnc for about 15$ so I should have enough for many batches.

KBR Fiji waka mixed with BKH Boroguru mixed with a tbsp of Vanuatu Instant Green per shell. mmmmm that's got a nice taste and some amazingly potent effects. I love mixing kava. Beware with this combo though, it's heavy to say the least. Surprisingly good to study with, though.

LOL I just realized that on my last post on the previous page I never edited it like I said I would. I guess that's a testament to how good it was. I totally forgot to update and just went to sleep. hehe.

I can't find that thread on mixes, I think endwatcher made it... speaking endwatcher where did that guy go.. ?

Anyway. I'll post it here then. BKH Fu'u + BKH Borogu + KBR Fiji Waka + 2 tbsp BKH Vanutatu Instant Green makes for an awesome movie kava. You know... the kind of krunk where you can just sit back, get involved in a nice movie or TV show... not realize that the TV show or movie isn't actually your reality until the credits roll... yeah... I've been watching Lost and totally into this whole complex father son relationship between Miles and Dr. Chang, almost brought tears to my eyes. Damn.

Anyway yeah. It's nice. If you ever try this combo though, vary the doses. Don't go equal, I made that mistake. It'd probably be a good idea to use significantly less Fiji Waka than the rest. It got a little heavy there for a moment. I used 3 tbsp of each.

Today I'm winging it. I have an unknown quantity of Stone and Fu'u that I've been soaking overnight with some soy lecithin. Blended in my food processor for a while with a scoop of thai tea that's been sitting in my cupboard for months. I sprayed in who knows how much water. Should be fun.

2tbs of Wow + 1tbs of Fu'u earlier this evening.  Just about knocked me on my ass.

I've got 1/4 cup van3 soaking and am getting very impatenient with the mailman who is bringing me; 1 kg of boroguro, 100gms of instant green as well as a new strainer as the van3 was almost impossile to strain and I ripped my bag trying. I have around 2/3 pound of van3 left and have found thats it's much easier to strain when mixed with a coarser grind kava and boroguro has the perfect gring for hand squeezing, well actaully I think chiefs is the perfect texture in terms of coarseness and sponginess but it's more costly than the fu'u and on par with boroguro in potency . If the mailman doesn't show up soon I'll just give in and drink my van3 alone but I prefer to make blends with it and then I'll just follow it up with some instant green when post office gets it's shit together. Oh yeah I finally broke down and got a coconut cup, I've been drinking kava on the regular for a year now and I just feel like a chode using steel coffee mug.

LOL, right after I posted my last post the mailguy dropped off my box at my doorstep and now I just drank my van3 fortified with a tbs instant green out of my sweet new coconut cup. Now I have a fat 1/2 cup of boroguro soaking in 1 tsp of soy lectin with 6 ounces coconut water and 1 cup war water. I'm already totally krunk that will likely be saved for tommorow.

Robin's A-1 Fiji waka kava is what I'm enjoying. I googled "fiji groceries Santa Rosa" Got a hit on Mekong Market. Just for kicks I stopped in a found that they sold kava. This is a very good kava and I've had a lot of kava over the last few years. $23 a pound and no shipping charges tastes even better. My cheeks are numb as well which is a good sign.
