Years of rugged living, weightlifting, and a bad car accident have left me with the kind of body that can tell the weather by how easy it is for me to move around when I first wake up. I was in a bad car accident a few months back and it really messed up my upper back. The frigid, moist weather where I live is killing me some days, and on the bad days it is very difficult to move, nevermind work, run errands, etc. I know from past experience that a quality tudei kava can help on days like these, but I have no interest in tracking down a tudei with shot-in-the-dark potency (nevermind how rare they seem to have become, thanks to growing awareness and testing). I know GHK specializes in very high quality noble kavas, and I know Chris has worked to prove that noble Hawaiian kavas can be every bit as potent and deep for the body as a good tudei but with none of the health concerns. From those of you with experience, what would you recommend for someone looking for a kava to melt his muscles a couple nights a week? I'm not necessarily looking for something to help me sleep (not that I'd say no to a variety that did both), just something that gives that deep bodily relaxation. I've heard good things along this line about a few of his varieties, I'm just hoping to get some input from people that may be in a similar situation about what helps them the most. Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much. I'm fine with tail-end sleepiness, I just wanted to make clear that the muscle relaxation was my primary concern. That just about matches a list I made of potential purchases just from reading the forum, and I've always appreciated your reviews and recommendation, so it looks like I was on the right track. Are any of them noticeably more relaxing than the others for you?

Many people report Hanakapi 'ai having an extra kick, I consider 'Opihikao to have the perfect balance, but I don't think it's available right now. For your specific needs, I might also suggest Kavafied's 'Kava Supreme' or Nakamal at Home's WOW!, those have a medicinal 245xxx chemotype.

Thanks so much, I guess that pretty much finishes the research. I was already going to place an order with N@H before year's end, so I'll just throw some WOW on top of it. And all the reviews say that Hanakapi 'ai is something special. Thanks for the help and info, it is appreciated.

I think I'm going to grab both the Hanakapi 'ai and the Papa Kea and see which one agrees with me the most. Those were the two that kept coming up as the most physically relaxing in the reviews. It doesn't seem like you can make a bad choice at GHK, so I'm sure I'll enjoy the roots regardless.

In my opinion hanakapi ai is the strongest body effect but papa kea and hiwa are right up there. I would use the last two for daily drinking in sensible amounts. If I had an early start I might opt for nene or mahakea.
