What's your kava soundtrack?

Isn't it funny how kava does that, kavadude? Early today at work me and my supervisor were listening to hardcore music because we were both in the "I wanna punch someone in their goddamn throat." mood. But now I am steadily krunk and listening to pink Floyd and led zeppelin.

Tyson has a very interesting story.

He was told by an Economy major/grad that the Black community could not afford him wasting his education and career on astrophysics.

As a native of Tanna, I have a great deal of empathy for those who are treated unfairly due to skin color.

So, he was pretty shaken up by the conversation. But, he pressed on, because he was doing what he loved.

Then, one day, a local news station called him because a large ball of plasma ejected by the Sun was heading towards Earth.

He explained how the magnetic field of the Earth would deflect the negative and positive ions in the plasma towards the poles, where they would become the Aurora.

He was then asked if the Earth was safe. He stated unequivocally that the Earth was safe.

He appeared that day as he does many days, as the smartest man in the room. His ethnicity/coloration was not an issue.

My role model, as an autistic adult, is Carl Sagan. Since he's dead, Neil deGrasse Tyson is a close second, although I doubt his neurology is atypical, despite his skill with the Rubik's Cube. I doubt any of my people could explain Pluto's demotion in such anthropomorphic terms that makes me feel that Pluto (I'm crying here) is joined with it's own kind, the wonderful Kuiper belt objects that live on the edge of our solor system.

For some reason, I'm more hooked on watching atheist debates/interviews while krunked out. Right now, I'm on a Niel deGrasse Tyson kick.
Same. Hitchens is still the best when you've got some mega krunk going on. Sometimes when I get really krunked I go to theistic, or atheistic (I have no real preference between the two) facebook pages and play a bit of devils advocate. Some call it trolling, I just call it sparking intellectual discussion. lol.

As for Tyson, he's an intellectual hero of mine. Same with Sagan, I own all of his books. Brian Cox's lectures are AMAZING when you're crunked out, I don't know if you've watched those. They are golden.

the science channel is the best channel for kava drinking
I only need three channels. Science, travel, and lifetime.... for the wife. Nothing on earth puts me out faster than how it's made. Love that show.

I like watching conspiracy theory videos on youtube. That guy Alex Jones is pretty funny; he has some good points, but just comes off like a raving lunatic. Also watching documentaries on things that people should know about but don't. I recommend looking into the stark difference between "lawful money" and "legal tender" as well as the remedy clause of the federal reserve act, then consider the only politician to ever address this issue took a Dallas and never returned(JFK). Another good topic is agenda 21. There are lots of good videos on these matters but the people presenting them are usually total fruit baskets that seem like the type to wear tinfoil hats so the government can't read their mind. Illuminati/Freemason conspiracy videos are fun to. There's so much on 911 and the most recent mass shootings to occupy you for months. Worth watching because everything you read or see in popular media is nothing more than propaganda meant to indoctrinate into supporting the governments agenda.

I can't imagine wanting to watch anything but a sunset when I drink kava.  I head down by the water and just chill.  If its later than sun set time the stars will usually work just as well, or a nice little fire outdoors.  But TV?  That would be too much stimulation for kava.

Apart from watching the science channel and submerging my wee brain in astrophysics, I really like watching movies that just trip you out. I like to call them, "mindf**k" movies. Like Jacobs ladder.

Pretty much the sweetest movie ever. Have you seen Pi ? Or The Fountain? Both sweet movies by Darren Aronofsky.None
If your really looking to take insane to the next level check out Suicide Club, it's the pinnacle of messed up Japanese movies. I could keep going on about messed up movies all day long.Have you seen Choke? Wrote by the guy that wrote Fight Club, but way more perverse and depraved. Oh yeah read Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk; the dude that wrote those books, easily the most insane and messed up book I've ever read.

Your gonna love them. Requiem for a Dream is great to, but just extremely disturbing.
correction, I have seen requiem for a dream. My buddy lent it to me on a USB drive. That was an insane movie. Really shows how broad of a range an addiction can be.

I'm procuring "the fountain" right now since you recommended it! And tonight I plan on watching "Primer" whilst heavily krunked on a batch of 4tbl PK Fijian and 3tbl BKH boroguru

The Fountain is actually my favorite movie that guy did. It is actually 3 stories woven together with amazing imagery and is incredibly moving. It doesn't start to add up until your an hour into it so just relax and pay very close attention. It takes multiple viewings to really get it. It's actually one of my very favorite movies.

Ah I love movies that have good imagery to stimulate the mind. Have you ever seen American beauty? That's one of my favorite flicks

I loved that movie but it got friggin ruined when we had to watch it in a film studies class with some tosser wearing a beret and turtleneck stopping it every 5 minutes to talk about it.
