What's your kava soundtrack?

Just finished the fountain. One of the most beautiful movies I've seen. The kind where it opens your mind and you gain something new after watching it. It's funny, the plot sort of co-relates to a theory I'm working on involving time :)

I'm glad you liked it. I was really blown away by it. I watched it on netflix instant and couldn't believe I'd never heard about it. I think it's the sweetest movie that Aronofsky ever did. I loved PI and it remains one of my favorites, but that more because I went to college for mathematics and it is really the only movie that makes math look really bad ass and mysterious, which it most certainly is.

Wow, a lot of great movies brought up.  I'm surprised Lynch hasn't been mentioned.  ...Or Cronenburg, Greenaway, Gilliam, Gaspar Noe, Jodorowsky...  Damn, I want to watch a bunch of old movies now...

Yeah math is definitely a crazy and broad field that applies to absolutely everything. Me and math just never got along lol

Cronenberg's Naked Lunch was pretty messed up and totally worth watching, I forgot about that. Lynch was always just a little to out there to really enjoy for me, it was performance art than it was of a cinematic experience for me. Going to see movies in 3D is pretty fun to do totally krunked. I went to see Silent Hill 2 in 3D when I was so krunked I could barely walk and brought in a tin of instant green to mix into my lemonade to keep buzz going, good times.

3D movies give me super duper headaches when I'm krunked lol

I just watched black swan while krunk. Right after watching Pi (incredible film btw). It's a pretty crazy movie. I had no idea when I watched it that it was directed by the guy who did Pi and requiem for a dream. But I'm not suprised. All in all a good flick :)

I didn't like Black Swan nearly as much as the others. It sort of had reminded me of The Wrestler a little, but I like that way more(same director). It was basically his most mainstream movie, most his other ones are more cult classics. Still really good and way better than most garbage released by Hollywood. His movies do seem to have reoccurring elements and actors. The mathematician from Pi was the creepy therapist in Requiem for a dream. His movies always have a surreal dream/nightmare element to them.

Guy Ritchie is another good director, his movies are generally really funny black comedies. I'd say the funniest is Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. A classic British movie, even funnier with the heavy accents. Like allot of directors his first few were good and then his most mainstream one, Snatch was the least likable.

It's the Rage, is another really twisted and funny movie that I'm surprised never really got props. Buffalo 66 was pretty strange and good to.

I liked it in the sense that it was weird and trippy. The downside for me was that lack of imaging and cinematography. It doesn't have the same camera angles like Pi does or requiem for a dream that make those movies so great. And I'll have to watch some of those ones next!

I don't think I ever cried more than when watching "The Fountain."
I did as well  but I think Schindler's List beat it in that department. Also Immortal Beloved was a really good and extremely sad movie.

Anybody here play some video games? I've found that violent, adrenaline inducing type of games don't mix well with kava at all. They just take you completely out of the krunk. Meanwhile I quite enjoy playing relaxed games like Civilization 5 and Crusader Kings 2. Just watching my little kingdom grow is very relaxing and in tune with the kava.

Just watched lock, stock and two smoking barrels. Hilarious movie and the thickest accents I've ever heard.

I'll play Skyrim krunked which isn't too violent, just sweet and fun. I prefer playing games that are easy and don't have any linear path where you can do whatever you want. Fallout New Vegas is pretty fun to play krunked, even though it is pretty gruesome. Anything that is too difficult or attention demanding doesn't gel me on kava. I've been playing metro 2033 which is a sweet game but you have to play totally sober or you'll just die every 10 seconds.

My favorite character was Vinnie Jones as the debt collector with kid, he was a riot.
