So last week and for the past few weeks or even months, I have done either Kava or Alcohol every damn day. From Thursday to Saturday, I got into the Red Wine in a serious way. On Sunday, I was feeling it. I was sluggish and spacey. I did some Nene to sleep and the next day I still felt the same. So on Monday, I fasted. No kava and no alcohol. I feel better today and I think I will shoot for at least a 3 day fast. After that, I'm cutting back on both kava and alcohol to smaller doses. I know lots of people who don't do kava or alcohol and it's amazing that they seem to cope just fine in the real world. I guess they don't have an inner stoner like us guys. So I'm going to ignore that little guy who lives in my brain and try to keep him at bay. And by the way, my inner stoner always gets unleashed during the holidays so I have to prep for that.
On a related note, I borrowed a green smoothie book and I'm going to go into it nice and easy. Probably in conjunction with a high fiber diet. Honestly, alcohol is what puts the pounds on me and I'm going to go super easy on that. It's not just the alcohol, it's the appetite that comes with it. So I guess I'm trying to detox before the Holidays. I'm not perfect but I'm going to try. One more thing, for you guys who get into the green smoothies in a very serious way, please google "oxalates". Rotate your greens and go easy on the almonds. Like someone said, animals who eat leaves rotate their diet because they sense that it's dangerous to get fixated on one type of food or green.
