A while ago there was a statement made on a different platform that has made its way around again. I feel that a few members on this forum have likely seen it so I would like to clear a couple things.
Amongst various other bits of erroneous drivel in a post full of half truths and outright lies, one of my products was attacked. The claim was that 11 Year Waka is not even Fijian kava. This is absolute unfounded defamation. There is no proof of this. I would never sell a kava that is from a different source than is claimed. The idea that the kava is of inferior quality is not supported by the scores of customer reviews, check them out here. Furthermore, the poster knows nothing about the specific geographical location or the age of this kava. I know that forum members get very upset when a vendor is slandered for something by someone with no proof, so I'm sure many of you are quite upset by this. I work extremely hard to source the best noble kava the pacific has to offer. I take pride in being a positive force in the industry. I have a responsibility to kava and my customers for integrity and honesty that I take very seriously.
The other section of the rambling post that I'd like to address is my status as a "kava expert". Quotes were taken out of context in an attempt to support the poster's claims that I "don't know very much about kava", but the statements I made are correct when properly contextualized. That said, I am happy to announce that I am always learning more about kava. I started my knowledge base about ten years ago by simply being introduced to kava drinking on the Big Island of Hawaii. I followed that up by demolishing many books on kava and any other publications I could fine. I regularly converse with kava experts, including world leaders in kava science who I still have an open line of communication with to this day. My practical knowledge of kava comes from working closely and speaking often with growers that I work with that actually have large farms. I'm not going to get into a pissing contest about who knows more or less about kava, but I am confident in my knowledge and the knowledge of those that have passed information on to me.
Bula. Thanks for the support.
