When I started drinking kava, I had a heck of a time trying to convince my wife I was not turning into some gutter-laying
junkie. I kept turning her objections back to her substituting the word 'kava' for 'alcohol' or 'coffee', plus I kept re-iterating
that kava has been used for over 3000 years, is less harmful to the body than alcohol, does no societal damage at all,
etc.
She came around. She's OK with it now, but even to this day every once in a while it comes up again. I think her biggest sticking
point is that alcoholic beverages have good flavor, whereas kava does not. Why drink it if it tastes bad? For the effect???
That seems wrong! Here we go again.
I really wish she'd join me in a few shells. I know she'd love the effect. She's tasted it before, and, no
freaking way.
