Amlactin/dermopathy question

I doubt it, unless dermopathy is actually an opportunistic fungal infection of some sort.
The stuff is great on dry skin of any kind. Overkill maybe, but very effective. I'm going to mix up a very weak batch of it added to one of my wife's body creams and apply it to one side, see what happens.

I have a cream that I have to occasionally use on my face, named Kenacomb, because I have an occasional bout of seborrheic dermatitus. It only flares up during winters here in the USA when the air is dry. If I'm in a tropical climate, I have no issues at all. But if it does flare up, the cream will completely eliminate it.

I wonder if it would work on this kava dermopathy? I bet it would, but it's super expensive and I'm not too anxious to use half a tube spreading all over my body for an experiment. I'll have to get some of this Amlactin stuff, although like someone else said earlier in their thread, I also hate the feel of anything greasy on my skin.
I bet it would work, because it contains triamcinolone acetonide. I can use the tiniest bit of that stuff diluted and it wipes out dermopathy with one application.

What stuff is it that you are using specifically? Is it something I can purchase without prescription?

After promptly ignoring all the great advice in this thread, I acquired the worst case of dermopathy I've ever had thanks to a little help from toss and wash, and I'm finally ready to try keeping lotion on.

Holy hell this stuff burns when you put it on.
What were you toss and washing?

Well, I managed to keep the lotion on all day today except on my hands. Of course as soon as I put it on my hands I'm supposed to cook, take the trash out, carry heavy logs around (a tree fell in the driveway yesterday). Hopefully will see some results. The dermo around my armpit caused me a not insignificant amount of pain while doing pull-ups today.

What were you toss and washing?
Various micronized products. Of course I blame myself for continuing to drink through it but, it is the worst I've ever had.

Well @violet , told me to try coconut oil, and wow, it dose help. In my opinion, its better than the lotions. It only takes like a teaspoon, to cover your entire body. Plus I like to take a spoon full in the mouth too. It tastes so good. you can even put it on your face. It has a hard time whipping off, so it stays on you. Much love. Roaddog....

Don't forget who else made that suggestion @Roaddog hahaha ;):p(y).
But yes coconut oil can do wonders for the skin once applied and soaked in.:woot:
With 1,000's of more uses it really is the magic oil. :D
Oddly enough, the only dermopathic symptoms that use to arise would occur only on my hands and never any where else; so everyone seems to be different in that respect, and it would only occur when I'd seriously concentrate my grog, which I stopped doing shortly after the signs of it progressing. :bookworm:
It's been awhile since I've had to endure the struggles of dermopathy, but I also haven't thought about it enough to pin down just why that is o_O.
W/e the reason, my first micronized is treating me wonderfully, and the ease of use is a privilege I'm trying to not abuse. ::amirite::
It's Friday night, everyone enjoy a heavy shell if you can! ::happyshell::
If it becomes necessary, keep a ::couch:: nearby. ;)

*With a new picture showing the sheer amount of Amlactin a persons hands can hold.*
Now approved for large animals such as Elephants. :ROFLMAO:
Edit- I have to say @shakas I could've been much more immature, but I stopped myself.....barely. troll-face-meme-smiley-emoticon.gif

@HeadHodge You need a script for it in the US. One of the brand names it comes under is Kenalog. The generic is super cheap.
I get it outside of the USA, brand name, and it's super cheap, well super cheap compared to here. It's only like $3 a tube. Here the same stuff was $70 last time I bought it. I'm all stocked up on it now. Probably enough to last 20 years, unless I start using it for kava induced dermop.

But like Violet said above, it is extremely effective on any type of dry skin (haven't tried on this dermop, but I'm going to). It's so potent that when I use it, I never use just the straight out of the tube. I squeeze out a tiny amount, I'm talking like half the size a pencil eraser on a #2 pencil. Then I mix that with a dab of skin creme on one hand and wet the other hand under the faucet, rub both hands together and then apply it. It works fast. If you use too much it will make your skin oily. If I get an outbreak of sebborhea, I use it like that one time, and it clears completely up and I typically won't need more for weeks even if the air stays dry.

I'm going to experiment with it on one side, since I have it equally on both sides. If you guys want, I will put on my speed-o and take before after pics, :ROFLMAO:. Just kidding, I wouldn't do that to you guys, you're all too nice.

It seems to have helped on my torso where I managed to keep it on all day. Less visible dermo and it did not cause me pain during stretches/pull-ups.

What sucks for me, is, I get it on my private parts, well not actually the private part, but more around it. It gets like a bad case of chaffing, for me. Also get a patch on my bum, and under the armpits too Now I will itch all over from it, often in my hairline, on my head. But I get no visible spots anywhere else. My face used to get it, but not so much there anymore. Sometimes I get it around my eyes, a little. But other than that and my hands being a little wrinkly, that's the only real problem spot. But here is the deal, it can be pretty uncomfortable, for me. Also I work outside in the hot sun, a lot more than most folks do. So I may be getting it in spots, I would already be chaffing in a little. Because of farming outside. Also its hotter than Georgia asphalt, around here this time of year. Maybe in the winter months, Ill have it some where different. It seems to move around a bit on me. Too weird, Kava Dermopathy. Much love Roaddog....

Finally today I got some sweet relief after keeping the lotion on most of yesterday. My hands still look gross (actually, they look worse now that the skin is coming off), but they no longer feel like sandpaper. All hail amlactin.
