It would be cool to take it to the next level and have it sent to a lab to get an HPLC testing on the kavalactone percentile, but expensive. You definitely get a tip of the hat from me, that is some serious Bill Nye the Science Guy kava edition level stuff right there. I'd start making 1-2 quart batches at a time and constantly have them becoming instant, do up a few keys. Possibly get some bulk kava from somewhere and make a business out of it. It would be interesting to see what the outcome yield is as opposed to the in going amount.
Haven't tried it just yet. I will but I'm in the process of making more. In fact I have a batch of Paradise's Fijian on the plate right now. I also added a fan to help the evaporation process. If anyone needs a fan and has an iPhone charger these fans are awesome. They're made by thermaltake.

Sorry for the delay guys! The water pump died as I kinda expected it too as it was a light duty bilge pump. Hopped on amazon and picked up a grundfos hot water regulating pump and it works like a charm. So that leads us to...
Results! Dissolves exactly like any instant.
Taste? Not bad. Not entirely exactly like fresh squeezed but I expected that. My mouth is numbed quite nicely.
Effect: 100% the strength of squeezed. Looks like I'm in business here. I might add that the Hawaiian from Paradise Kava ground down to nearly powdered sugar consistency.

great news!!! glad everything worked out.
I ended up making about half of that little bag and was actually almost in overkrunk mode. I believe it to be a result of concentrating that much kava into such a small volume. So surprisingly you need far less extract than you would if it were in solution. I'm sure such a vigorous grinding probably has something to do with it being more available for absorption. Adil, I actually have a bag of pre-made Fijian instant and half a bag if Hawaiian left. I'll mix equal parts and give it a go. Knowing how powerful the Hawaiian was at just the small bit I used makes me nervous when approaching a kava with more double bonded kavalactones. My normal nightly dose does not correlate 1:1 when in this form. That's an unexpected good thing. I'm all for kava going further.
Ed: I've got unopened bags if fu'u and nambawan and also a bag of wow and 2 bags of van3 (which I think I would just end up with the same powder because of the fineness of the beginning material). I'll add a bag of chief's on my next stone order. Heck I might just make one of all of the highest rated kavas and call it "killer".

if you made an instant called killer, I would buy it. Just saying. I'm thinking about rigging up my own little instant machine. I may use heating reptile pads attracted to the underside of a sheet of glass, you've inspired me!Kapmcrunk said:

Instant wow. Oh and I went with the milling idea. My ball mill comes in the mail this week. Along with my ceramic ball media. I'm thinking this could get the sizes sub-micron. Super instant.
I'm making nambawan tomorrow.
