I suggest emailing them as well if you found the micronized kava to be lackluster. Thanks for your efforts. I will let them know as well. Because they are so high profile in their marketing reach a lot of kava newbs could be put off by first time use of their micronised weak strength product. It's in our collective interest to have as many people as possible like and use kava so that the likelihood of the 12 month trial in Oz being made permanent is high.

Firstly I hope that you are all safe and sound, I know some of us here may have been impacted by recent severe weather conditions so I hope that you are all okay!

I had been sitting on some of the paul's liquor kava for about a week before I had a chance to try it. Since I have been drinking blue lagoon for the past two weeks, that has been my "go to" but I don't drink kava on the daily, preferring to enjoy it only on my days off.

After reading of the particularly sedative effects of paul's liquor, something which blue lagoon doesn't seem to offer a lot of, I chose to mix a small scoop of paul's in with blue lagoon to give the euphoric effects of blue lagoon a little bit of nighty time sleepiness. I can say that it absolutely is effective, and soon enough when it was time to hit the hay, I was out like a light.

I intend to write my own thorough review of paul's kava, as I did with blue lagoon, but I will need to try it on its own to properly assess it on its own merits.

When deciding to partake in kava, I was particularly looking for an option to help me with my sleep, and although blue lagoon doesn't seem to greatly offer this, it certainly has its place in my opinion, and I can see myself enjoying both going forward.

As time allows I will formulate more specific thoughts on Bula Premium Fijian Noble Kava (paul's kava), but for the time being I just wanted to provide a quick update and a bump to the thread to keep discussions moving along.

Good post @knifebunny. I did find the Paul's kava quite good for a night time kava. Like you, I only drink maybe 2 or 3 times a week.

The blue lagoon kava is good for afternoon / socialising in my opinion. The only thing is, I'm really starting to struggle with the taste of Blue Lagoon. Might switch back to Paul's kava for a bit, haven't had it in 2 weeks or so

Hey Folks - Well a little like the God Father.. Just when I thought I was out they keep pulling me back in!!

After over a decade working in the kava industry; Vanuatu kava Shop, The Kava Emporium, Kava Cola, Tanna kava, Instant kava, kava extracts, Black Honey, US and EU exports etc... I relocated to Australia with the family and was busy in my consultancy biz. Then the news came through that the Oz govt. were finally going to pull the trigger on their Phase 2 roll out with labeling kava as a food and not scheduling it. We are milling to 3mm so you aren't going to get the 100% baby powder, but though I'd attach some pics to give Australian kava connoisseurs what to expect. Yes, I'm drinking the premium SavuSavu kava at the moment from Kingdom of Kava.
Very, very nice! I'm somewhat prone to nausea and I find this kava very friendly to my stomach. It's quite potent and euphoric at the same time. It also has a long tail off time. Highly recommended and the 1 kilo bag comes with a nifty plastic measuring spoon enclosed. Have also got the kadavu but haven't tried it yet.

Hi @knifebunny , I'm in a similar boat, using melatonin (10mg dissolvable from iHerb) for sleeping every night. Not a shift worker thou. Normally I'd have kava twice a week, partly to help fasting, and to relax. Also to break up boozing when I was drinking too much. Anyway, I don't like heady kava in any way as it sets off my anxiety big time. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on paul's kava for sleep. I got some savusavu kava off fb marketplace back before the pilot started, and I can't drink it. Gives me lockjaw with the amount of tension it creates. I might be having too much as I mix it strong. I've pre-ordered El Manaro vanuatu. Until that arrives, I'd be keen to find a heavy kava to help with sleep. Lots of folks are saying paul's is good for sleep, so it would be good to hear your review. Cheers

They are NOT kalm with kava. Not sure who is behind this one, but I aim to find out.
