    Powdered Kava Review Santa Cruz

Had some Santa Cruz last night and had an amazing night's sleep. Woke up feeling fresh. I've had Solomon Islands kava before from other vendors, and it has almost always had a weird flavor to it. Not so with Fiji Vanua's Santa Cruz. I downed my first shell and remarked "this tastes just like...

Kava Culture Government of Vanuatu donated $250K to Aussie Rural Fire Service

That figure, approximately 250 million vatu, is around one percent of Vanuatu's total tax revenue. Proportionally, that would be like Australia donating 7 or 8 BILLION dollars.

Kava Culture Who's got the krunkest blender?

This pitcher used to be clear. I wash it with soap and hot water every time I use it, yet that KL patina still builds up. Not that I'm complainin' or anything.

Kava Botany Ethiopian Teff as an Analogy to Kava

Rare Earth just released a video about teff, the staple grain of Ethiopia. In recent years it has been embraced as a health food in the west, with unforeseen impacts on the people of Ethiopia. How is this relevant to kava? If kava production is monopolized, particularly if it's...

Listening to kava outside, at night

Had a sad morning today. Coyotes grabbed one of our ducks last night. It must have been between midnight and 7:00am because I saw all 3 of them sleeping happily while I was outside on a virtual kava circle. Anyway, I'm sitting in a blind on the edge of a hayfield with some Squanch in me. No...

Kava blamed for 2 ratlung cases in Hawaii

http://www.bigislandvideonews.com/2017/04/19/tainted-kava-blamed-for-two-rat-lungworm-cases-in-hawaii/ Before anybody panics, this was from buckets of kava left out where slugs could have crawled directly into the beverage. There is no evidence that ratlung is in properly washed fresh ʻawa...

    Dehydration

Big fan of plain old tap water here. Sometimes I'll get fancy and have kombucha or mint tea. Just adjust your water intake to keep up with your kava intake. More fresh water flowing through your bod keeps the kidneys and urinary tract healthy.

Kava Culture Watered down kava complaints - in Vanuatu

"Tumas nakamal oli mekem tumas wota kava oli tingse yu fish blng drink wota." https://m.facebook.com/groups/291201780914795?view=permalink&id=1891826784185612&p=60&av=100001864246740 Yes, this is textbook "vaguebooking"--complaining about something without saying who is serving watered down...

Friction welding plastic to repair Aluball screens...

Since the Aluball came out, I've heard various ideas for how to fix broken screens. Glue isn't a great idea unless you relish the idea of drinking glue residue in your kava. Epoxy's stronger, but brittle and even more toxic than most glues. Well, what about WELDING a screen? No, I don't mean...

    Hooray for Squanch

Finally saw the light, and ordered 4 lbs of squanch. Got tracking number in the mail, told USPS to hit my phone when it lands in my mailbox. So today I got a text that the squanch had landed. Took a hike down to the mailbox and there it was in all its priority mail goodness. There wasn't even...
